Requirements

1. PC with Internet conncetion or running ST19
2. Serial cable between PC and Coolsat
3. KeyUpdate V8.4.2 or higher


Step 1

1. After installing KeyUpdate and verifying that keys can be retrieved from the Internet


Step 2

1. On the KeyUpdate screen
2. Go to the [FTA] tab (upper right hand corner)
3. Click on [Coolsat.key] button
4. Browse to the the Coolsat.key file in the KeyUpdate v8.4.2 folder and select it
5. Check mark the check box on the [Coolsat.key] button
6. Minimize KeyUpdate

Step 3

1. Open Windows Explorer
2. Go to the KeyUpdate v8.4.2 folder
3. Click on the CoolsatLoader.exe file
4. Select the correct Port
5. Click on the Keys tab
6. Click on Browse
7. Browse to the the Coolsat.key file in the KeyUpdate v8.4.2 folder and select it
8. Click Connect and follow the prompts to complete the upload
9. Exit the CoolsatLoader.exe program after completion
10. Close Windows Explorer

Step 4

1. On the KeyUpdate screen
2. Go to the [FTA] tab (upper right hand corner)
3. Click on [Update STB] to verify everything is working properly. This will automatically open the Coolsat loader and upload the key file to the Coolsat and the it will automatically close the Coolsat loader - give it time and don't touch the mouse or keyboard during this process
4. If step 3 was successful then check mark the check box on the [Update STB] button and during the next key change it will auomatically store the new keys to your Coolsat.
5. You can have up to 4 Coolsats connected to the same PC all automaticlly updating at the same time, by copying the Coolsatloader.exe to Coolsatloader2.exe, Coolsatloader3.exe, and Coolsatloader4.exe and following the above steps.

That's it. Now when KeyUpdate discovers new keys it will store those new keys automatically to your Coolsat. Oogie has created an addon program for other receivers, take a look at his sticky or ask him to help you out.
