Whats the different from Intel and AMD processors?

Is Intel better then AMD whats the difference between them.Which one is better AMD Sempron(TM) LE1300 [2.3GHz] or AMD Athlon(TM) LE1640 [2.7GHz]

Sempron is AMD's answer to Intel's Celeron.The Athlon will blow the other choices away!d;o)

Both of these are in the low spec end of AMDs CPUs and I would guess that the faster, 2.7 Ghz would be better. An upgrade to the 64X2 range would be a big improvement. Mostly the physical /structural variations are around Memory management, Intel use a motherboard chip with a BUS and AMD have an on CPU device. I think this makes AMD just better for music and games.

The biggest difference is the price. The intel processors may have a slight edge in speed, but at double the price it isn't worth it for most people.The athlon is a better processor than the semperon.
