Default fortec conversion

I want to convert my lifetime fortec ultras to operate on the available fixes, but I don't see any instructions on how to mod the units. Please point me in the right direction.

Everything you need to convert to PUFF 1.0.1... Updated April 29 2008

I thought a simple step-by-step set of instructions, with accompanying files and loaders, was needed in order to help people convert to PUFF 1.0.1 regardless of whether you have a brand new box, or if you've already converted to B-75, LZMA, or an older version of PUFF...

Note: Using UkRoNiCs BOX Updater.420, UkRoNiCs BOX Updater.421, or BL 1.4 is a matter of choice... Use the one that works best for you!...

Good Luck!

If your box is brand new out of the box and has never been converted to B-75, LZMA or PUFF... Follow Step 1 and proceed to Step 2...

If your box has already been converted to B-75, LZMA or PUFF and you want to convert to PUFF 1.0.1... Skip Step 1 and go directly to Step 2...

Step 1... Start here if you have a brand new box!

This procedure converts your Pansat 2500a or FLU to a 2700

Connect your box to your PC using a straight thru cable...
Load the jvvh_208_2500to2700.bin...
Set to BIN mode...
Turn on your box and hit the write button when the 1st light appears...
Do not power off the box! Be patient!
The box will reboot (maybe twice) and should flash b-7-5 b-7-5...
Turn off the box from the back...

Step 2... Start here if your box has already been converted!

This procedure will WIPE CLEAN all of your sat and channel settings...
If you use Channel Master, save you channel list first...

Connect your box to your PC using a straight thru cable...
Load the Ukr_PUFF1.0.1_ConvertBOX.bin...
(same file also known as Ukr_-PUFF-ConversionFlashFix.bin)...
Set to BIN mode...
Turn on your box and hit the write button when the 1st 'b' or 'P' appears...
Do not power off the box! Be patient!
The box will reboot and will flash P U F F P U F F over and over again...
The rolling P U F F means the box is waiting for a PUFF bin!
You do not need to turn off the box, but no harm done if you do!

Load the the latest PUFF bin from the PUFF Files Section...
Set to BIN mode...
Turn on your box...
Hit the write button when you see 'P'...
Do not power off the box!

The box will reboot and will flash P U F F P U F F twice...

The box will stick on F for 30-60 seconds, then come ON.

If you saved your channel list in CM, you can write them back now!

Turn off the box, connect to your TV, set your language and time settings, select your sats and scan if not using CM, and enjoy!

Cheers!

P.S. Thanks to jvvh, fwank7, CS, UkRoNiC, Nikk_Mty, lothario91
