What are the names of those cords that I can connect to an lcd monitor with speakers?

I have an lcd monitor with speakers installed in them and currently have a cord that connects to my computer that displays everything, but with no sound. Whats the name of the cord that works for audio and visual? Sorry I'm completely ignorant on this topic

Err... well, you've asked the question incorrectly, so first I'll answer the question you asked, then I'll give you the answer you're actually looking for.Coaxial and HDMI cables are typically what's used in consumer products. Both carry audio and video (HDMI > Coaxial).However, neither of those are what you want.What you have connecting your computer to your monitor is probably either a VGA or DVI cable (both used for video only, and both are superior to Coaxial and HDMI). What you should look for, however, near the base of your monitor is a small, round, 3.5mm standard audio jack.
