Pansat 250SM Does anyone have this receiver and if they do how do they like it?

Re: Pansat 250SM I would not recommend getting the unit. It is easy to use, but the downloads are slow and also the epg does not work most of the time. For me the epg thing is a big issue because if you do not know what time a movie started or what the name is it gets pretty frustrating and annoying. I have yet to figure out or find a file that will fix this issue...until that happens I would get another unit.
I have the 250sm and it, compared to the 2500...
works pretty well.
programming it with the `flash drive' makes it quite an easy task.
also, as lovemojo says the EPG doesn't always work for ya but
it's quit simple to to log online and get `what-ever' is on at the time.
I also love the PVR (w/a hard drive)...
I have a 160g drive and so far, seem to hold 200 hrs on it.
also has component output, not Hi-Def but tends to be a good picture.

I will stick with the Viewsat Ultra or the lite

if your looking in to getting a new receiver I personally recomend CW 700 or 800 of the one's that I test it's the easyest to work with and fixes come out pretty fast and epg up to 5 day's ...................

to fix you epg you must leave it on channel 239 for about 20 to 30 minutes and it will give you about 3 to 5 day's ...also you can leave your receiver on at night in that channel also....try it out.....
