Cool Blackened cabbage.....easy recipe

Blackened cabbage

easy to make



Ingredients:
1/2 pound bacon
2 heads of cabbage (quartered)
1 clove garlic
Tony Cachere's Creole seasoning

Cooking:

Fry bacon in a large pot until slightly brown (keep grease and fat in pot)
Add cabbage, 1/4 cup of water, crush garlic clove and season to taste using Tony Cachere's.

Cook, covered on HIGH for 15 minutes (stir OCCASIONALLY), then turn heat down to simmer for 15-20 minutes (or until cabbage is dark brown).

Makes 4-6 servings
