Statement from the Sonicview SVLan Team Dec 27, 2010

Sonicview announced today the introduction of SVLan.

The SVLan marks a new level of support and reliability.
No more freezing, No more downtime, No more worrying about software updates, and More Channels!

Disappointments with previous products, the iHub and Newlink failing to reach the level of quality associated with the Sonicview product line left the company in a tough spot and customers disappointed and frustrated.

While Sonicview was the best at the cardless solution, they could not seem to get the knack of IKS with the iHub and a second attempt with the Newlink.

Development of the SVLan began earlier this year when an unnamed Japanese group approached Sonicview with a new solution. A better way of doing IKS with quality, reliability, and superior service being the cornerstone of the all new SVLan service.

The SVLan will include two years of service from the date of purchase included in the purchase price. SVLan is sold through authorized Sonicview dealers.

Sonicview also announced that the iHub and Newlink will no longer be supported by public server, but noted that private server service is available at the current time.

Here is another C/P

Sv Lan confirmed to be working with a SV 8000HD receiver

A user at another site that I frequent has just posted that he is up and below is the info he supplied.

1) An Out of Box, the SV Lan displays V4.3 with Wiznet

2) He installed SV80000_SV Lan_HD8 and now the SV Lan Displays V4.8

3) In the IP Menu entered the S/N from the Label

He claims to be up and has Channels up.

So far he indicates that CH 105 to 12 are up as well as all the Starz Channels in the 300. He has promised to supply us with a List of the channels that are up.

I will post the list when it is available.

As a form of proof he agreed to posting an image of the Wiznet Screen, It does not look doctored up but looks to be genuine.

Please note the MAC Address... proof that the SV Lan is a Modified I-hub as it uses the the same Series

Have heard reports that the SVlan has freezing issues and losing channels. SV needs to get it together or they will be history. People are already upset with them for dropping support for the I-hub and Newlink...I guess we will have to wait and see, I'm hoping they get thier act together, because of all thier loyal customers who have stood by them...let's keep our fingers crossed..

It has been reported that the SV has missing channels. SV from what I understand had some sort of power outage and some sort of burnout. They are working on the problem now and should have the channels back up soon along with a couple PPV. Don't change anything on your receiver and wait patiently and everything should be back up soon.
