Liberty Media Corp has announced it will invest US$ 530 million in Sirius XM Radio, fending off a rival bid from EchoStar. Liberty Media, owner of DirecTV, will receive a 40 percent stake in Sirius XM and seats on its board of directors in exchange for helping the satellite radio firmavoidbankruptcy.
