Heartbreak: Pregnant woman, husband, baby girl killed in horrific head-on collision.

CAMDEN TOWNSHIP, OH - A family of four was killed in a horrific head-on collision Tuesday afternoon on Baumhart Road.

Police say a car went left of center on Baumhart Road, just north of State Route 20, and collided with a Lowe's truck in Lorain County.

Gar and Simone Cole - who was 8 1/2 months pregnant with a little boy - were instantly killed. Emergency crews tried to perform an emergency c-section to save the baby, but were unsuccessful.

The Cole's daughter, 18-month-old Ryleigh, was also in the car. She was rushed to the hospital, but died a few hours later at MetroHealth Medical Center.

Gar and Simone were wearing seatbelts and Ryleigh was properly restrained in a child safety seat.

The driver of the Lowe's struck, 31-year old Jeremy A. Hofecker, and his passenger, 42-year-old Michael J. Dipietro were transported to Allen Memorial Hospital. They were treated and released.

Hofecker and Dipietro were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
