Drivers experienced major delays on the inbound route of the Lincoln Thursday afternoon after a bus driver collided with four vehicles prompting a mult-vehicle accident. Officials say the driver suffered a seizure at the time of the accident.

WEEHAWKEN, N.J. —
A New Jersey Transit bus collided with four other vehicles in the south tube of the Lincoln Tunnel Wednesday after the driver suffered a seizure, officials said.

According to Port Authority spokesman Steve Coleman, the crash happened around 12:10 p.m. in Weehawken after the bus driver apparently went into a seizure roughly 1,000 feet before the New York tunnel exit, slamming into four cars.

It's not immediately known how many people were aboard the bus and whether any passengers were injured. The driver was taken to Roosevelt Hospital.

Coleman says two people who were in separate vehicles that were struck were injured. But Coleman says their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The south tube was re-opened shortly after 1 p.m. but there were extended delays after it cleared.
