Futures mostly lower on CBOT
CHICAGO, (UPI) -- Futures prices were mostly lower Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade, pressured by forecasts for improved weather conditions and the dollar.

Corn was off 4 to off 4 1/2, soybeans were unchanged to up 1 1/2, wheat was off 6 1/2 to off 6 3/4 and oats were off 10 1/2 to off 13 1/2.

Corn failed to sustain a midday recovery from morning lows, dipping below Thursday's close. Forecasts for dry weather in the Midwest, which will allow saturated fields to recover, weighed on the market. Predictions also called for early pollination in some areas.

Soybeans made marginal gains, supported by a break in the dollar. Improved weather forecasts put a lid on optimism as traders evened up ahead of the weekend.

December wheat made new lows, closing at its lowest level since June 16. Weakness was blamed on erosion of the dollar and drier weather in the Midwest.
