Null modem cable instructions

Null modem cable instructions
1 Connect your PC and receiver with twisted RS-232C Null modem cable
2 Plug in the power supply cord of your receiver to the power source and leave
your receiver turned OFF.
3 Start the Captain Loader by double clicking on loader
4 Click on Serial Setup button and Change setting accordingly. Most of the time
COM port is default to COM 1. Press Ok button to exit from “COM Port Setting”
5 Now before go any further just make sure all wires are connected properly and
you need a Null serial Cable to upgrade your Captain 8000 HD.
6 Now press “Select File” button to load file in your loader program. A window
will appear for the location of the software bin file. You can also select File menu
and press Down to open the window to load upgrade file in the loader.
7) Select the file and click Open or you can just double click on the file and it will be loaded in the program.
8) Turn the main power switch On from the back of the receiver and % bar on the loader program will start progressing. Progress bar will go to 100%.
Loader will also show you the information if this file is newer or same as the file currently on the receiver.
You receiver LCD screen will display "DnLd" and then "Upgd". When progress bar will go to 100% you will see a message on loader that “S/W Upgrading Please Wait….”.
Upon completion, A message will appear "S/W successfully upgraded. This
program will be closed." Press OK and the program will close.
Congratulations!! Finally you are done and now your receiver is up to date with the latest software available. Turn it OFF and then Turn it back ON. Do a Factory default and setup your antenna settings according to your setup.
