This is for BELL only. Try this:

You will need bitpim and the lg driver. Both can be found online if you search hard enough. Your computer might automatically install the proper driver, not sure.

After you have installed your phone drivers, install bitpim.

- BitPim http://bitpim.org/

Open bitpim and connect your phone to the usb cable.

My bitpim automatically connected to my phone without any hassle. When the green light at the bottom right is green and says ready, you can begin.

1. Click on file system. You might need to goto View and click on file system from the drop down menu first.

2. Press the + to expand the folder

3. Expand the brew file

4. click on ams

5. Right click on the _policy.txt file. Then save it to a destination of your choice.

6. Open the file using notepad.

7. Goto the bottom of the file. You want to copy and paste the Domain: Bell-trusted info to the domain: Silver-Trust, domain: untrusted.

Your edited info should look exactly like this: You can probaby copy and paste this right to the notepad file. I deleted my old _policy file by accident, so I can't show you what it used to look like.

domain: embedded
allow: Net_Access
allow: Message_Reception
allow: Message_Delivery
allow: Personal_Data_Read_Access
allow: Personal_Data_Write_Access
blanket(oneshot): Application_Self_Start
allow: Device_Connectivity_Comm
allow: Device_Connectivity_Bluetooth
allow: Multimedia_Access
allow: Location
allow: GPS_Access
allow: Sprint_Extensions
allow: Satsa

domain: Bell-Trust
allow: Net_Access
allow: Message_Reception
allow: Message_Delivery
allow: Personal_Data_Read_Access
allow: Personal_Data_Write_Access
allow: Application_Self_Start
allow: Device_Connectivity_Comm
allow: Device_Connectivity_Bluetooth
allow: Multimedia_Access
allow: Location
allow: GPS_Access
allow: Sprint_Extensions
allow: Satsa

domain: Silver-Trust
allow: Net_Access
allow: Message_Reception
allow: Message_Delivery
allow: Personal_Data_Read_Access
allow: Personal_Data_Write_Access
allow: Application_Self_Start
allow: Device_Connectivity_Comm
allow: Device_Connectivity_Bluetooth
allow: Multimedia_Access
allow: Location
allow: GPS_Access
allow: Sprint_Extensions
allow: Satsa

domain: untrusted
allow: Net_Access
allow: Message_Reception
allow: Message_Delivery
allow: Personal_Data_Read_Access
allow: Personal_Data_Write_Access
allow: Application_Self_Start
allow: Device_Connectivity_Comm
allow: Device_Connectivity_Bluetooth
allow: Multimedia_Access
allow: Location
allow: GPS_Access
allow: Sprint_Extensions
allow: Satsa

8. Now you want to save your file. Save-as and save it to a different file so you keep your old file in tact just in case.(Make sure to keep the file name the same.

9. Go back to bitpim and go to the policy file again, right-click and click overwrite. Find the new _policy file and use that one for the over right.

10. That's it! Restart your phone. If you had apps already installed you will need to delete them and reinstall

11. You will now be able to give apps the "Always Allow" net access. It even works for the GPS however I have yet to get it to actually work....

ENJOY!

Your phone needs the mp3 trimmed down to 30 seconds.

Try this:

  1. Rip song off of CD into a mp3 file.
  2. Trim the song to 30 sec or less using audio editing software like Audiocity software.
  3. Send the song to your phone as a ringer using http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/
