My current AT&T Phone's charger broke, and instead of getting a new charger, I'd rather have a new phone. There is a cheap one I found, but it''s Verizon. It's a Motorola KRZR. Would anyone know how to unlock it for AT&T?Oh yeah, and is unlocking phones illeagal?

You can't put a Verizon phone on AT&T, because they broadcast differently. Verizon doesn't use SIM cards, either.

dont get the KRZR they break really eaisly but if u want another phone from a different carrier you can take it to an authorized dealer and they can flash the phone to your network

no, its not illegal as long as you get the unlock code, called subsidy unlock code, from the carrier that the phone is locked to. you wont be able to use a verizon phone on att's network, becuase verizon doesnt use sim cards, and att does. youwill have to have a phone that can use a sim. talk to att and see if you can get a new phone, you might be able to get early upgrade if you're close to your upgrade date.
