The VS7k accepts only IDE hard drive though I have tried a SATA to PATA convertor that will work with a SATA hard drives, it is too very cramp to fit in the hard drive tray though. The largest IDE drive I have found is 750gb that should be good enough for 750 hours of recording... you will also...
