Pound for pound, AMD provides faster CPUs for a cheaper price than Intel.Other than Intel's newest i7 line, is there any reason to purchase a slower Intel chip that's more expensive over a cheaper, faster AMD processor?

I was told this by a PC site where they let you configure your own and will help you. Something about the latency isn't as good on ddr3? It didn't sound right top me but who knows
