Authorities detained a 14-year-old boy on Thursday evening on suspicion of working as a drug-cartel hit man, a spokeswoman for the Mexican attorney general's office said.

While being taken into custody along with his sister, he answered questions from journalists. Here is a transcript of the news conference. Repeated questions have been omitted:
