Banana Bread (cooked in slow cooker)

Banana Bread (cooked in slow cooker)

Margarine 6 tablespoons
Granulated sugar 2/3 cup
Large egg 1
Mashed bananas (about 3 small) 3/4 cup

All purpose flour 1 1/2 cups
Cocoa 1 tablespoon
baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoon
Baking soda 1/4 teaspoon
salt 1/2 teaspoon


Cream margarine and sugar in a bowl. Beat in eggs. Add bananas and mix.
Add remaining 5 ingredients. Stir just to moisten. Turn in to greased loaf pan. Set a wire trivet in a 5 quart slow cooker. Place 5 paper towels between slow cooker and lid. Place a 1/8 inch object between the paper towels and edge of slow cooker to allow steam to escape. Do not lift lid for the first 2 hours of cooking. Cook on high for about 2 1/4 hours. remove from pan and let cool.
