Bulls sign free agent G Brewer
CHICAGO, Free agent guard Ronnie Brewer has signed with the Chicago Bulls, the team said Monday.
The Bulls didn't release the terms of the deal for the former Utah Jazz player, but published reports have put it at three years and $12.5 million.
Chicago moved to sign Brewer after their attempts to land Orlando's J.J. Redick were thwarted when the Magic matched the team's offer sheet.
"We're very happy to add a player of Ronnie's ability to our team. He brings great versatility on both ends of the floor and will be an excellent addition to our backcourt," said Bulls General Manager Gar Forman.
Chicago has signed three former members of the last year's Jazz squad. Brewer joins forward Carlos Boozer and guard Kyle Korver in that regard. Brewer played five games for Memphis last season after being traded to the Grizzlies by Utah.
He averaged 8.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists last season.
