Bulls to honor Pippen with statue
CHICAGO, The Chicago Bulls say they will honor retired superstar Scottie Pippen with a statue outside the United Center next season.
Pippen, a seven-time All-Star, six-time World Champion and 2010 NBA Hall of Fame inductee, has been named one of the NBA's 50 greatest players.
He was drafted out of Central Arkansas by Seattle in 1987, but his draft rights were immediately traded to Chicago in exchange for Olden Polynice and future draft picks.
Pippen then played alongside the legendary Michael Jordan for 8 1/2 of the first 10 seasons of his career. Pippen helped lead the Bulls to six titles from 1990 to 1998.
