Coleman's widow thanks fans for support
PROVO, Utah, (UPI) -- Shannon Price, U.S. actor Gary Coleman's widow, thanked fans for their support after her husband's death.

"We are very grateful for all the wonderful support everyone has been extending to Gary's family," Price said in a statement read by her brother Shawn, USMagazine.com reported.

"Thousands of e-mails have poured in to the hospital. This has been so comforting to the family to know how beloved he still is. Thank you so much for all that you guys have done and for the support and prayers that you guys have given us."

Coleman, whose congenital kidney disease had halted his growth at 4-foot-8-inches, died Friday at a Provo, Utah, hospital.

The actor, who played Arnold Jackson on "Diff'rent Strokes," had been in a coma before dying with his wife and other family members at his side.

Funeral arrangements and more details about the death will be released, Shawn Price said.
