Cost Mesa to illegal immigrants: Stay away
COSTA MESA, Calif., (UPI) -- The Southern California city of Costa Mesa is officially on record not wanting anyone who is in the United States illegally inside its limits.
The city council followed through on Mayor Allan Mansoor's request that it approve the anti-illegal immigrant resolution Tuesday declaring Costa Mesa a "Rule of Law City." The measure passed 4-0 with one member abstaining.
"I have a lot of concerns with cities calling themselves sanctuary cities," Mansoor said before the vote. "It's important we state that we do not support illegal immigration."
Costa Mesa has about 116,000 residents.
