Rookie Rubby De La Rosa won his first Major League start to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 6-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies and their victory-starved pitcher Roy Oswalt on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old De La Rosa allowed five walks but gave up just one run in five innings as the Dodgers' offense gave him plenty of support.
Shortstop Dee Gordon had three hits and scored a run in the third, where Los Angeles scored three times to take a 4-1 lead. Matt Kemp then hit a two-run homer in the eighth for Los Angeles (29-33).
Phillies' starter Oswalt (3-4) allowed four runs in six innings to take the loss, and has not won since April 21 -- a stretch of six games in which he has lost four and had two no decisions.
