Ducks sign Chipchura for a year
ANAHEIM, Calif., (UPI) -- Center Kyle Chipchura is locked up for a year with the Anaheim Ducks, the NHL team said Friday.
The Ducks got Chipchura, 24, from Montreal in December and he responded with six goals and six assists in 55 games; career bests for him.
The Ducks gave up a fourth-round selection in the 2011 NHL entry draft to get Chipchura, who was the 18th overall pick in the 2004 draft.
He has a total of 10 goals, 16 assists and 87 penalty minutes in 123 career games.
