A former member of the P.E.I. Liquor Control Commission was ordered Friday to serve the rest of his 75-day sentence in jail.

Chris Higgins was found guilty of misusing a credit card back in January. In April, he was sentenced to four months of house arrest.

But Charlottetown police checked in at his home twice last week and Higgins wasn't there. Earlier this week he was charged with two counts of breaching the conditions of his sentence. Provincial court Judge John Douglas revoked the terms of the original conditional sentence.

That means Higgins has traded house arrest for the Provincial Correctional Facility.

Higgins is also facing impaired driving charges. The trial for that is scheduled for June 3.
