Just click the start button and paste in the search box "Snipping Tool".

It should find the program called snipping tool, run it and then just drag a box around anything you'd like to screen capture, it then automatically copies it to the clipboard and then paste in any photo editing program.

You can capture any of the following types of snips:

Free-form Snip. Draw a free-form shape around an object.

Rectangular Snip. Drag the cursor around an object to form a rectangle.

Window Snip. Select a window, such as a browser window or dialog box, that you want to capture.

Full-screen Snip. Capture the entire screen.

After you capture a snip, it's automatically copied to the Clipboard and the mark-up window. From the mark-up window, you can annotate, save, or share the snip. The following procedures explain how to use Snipping Tool.

Control + printscreen + the right mouse buttons will take a screen capture of the entire screen, you just need a photo editing program to paste into. However for people new to screen captures it may be better for them to use the snipping tool as it is for the layman.
