Iraq violence kills 8, wounds 15
BAGHDAD, (UPI) -- Multiple attacks in Iraq Tuesday killed eight people and wounded 15 others, officials confirm.

Interior Ministry officials said an Iraqi army brigadier general in the northwestern Baghdad neighborhood of Kadhumiya was killed when a bomb attached to his car exploded, CNN reported.

Another car bomb exploded in northwestern Baghdad in Hurriya killing one civilian and wounding two others, the official said.

A car explosion in the southern Baghdad neighborhood of Dora killed one civilian and wounded four others, CNN said.

In Salahdeen province, 118 miles north of Baghdad, five people were killed and nine wounded by the explosion of a car bomb.
