My PC idles at 42-45c degrees and maxes at 52c degrees. I have another PC powered by a AMD Phenom X4 II 925, but it idles better at 30c degrees Both are using their stock heat sinks. Should there be any concern? Is there probably a different design in the Phenom II 925 that makes it cooler than the 1st generation phenoms?

I also use the same processor on server for more then 1 year , with middle temp. at 43C and I had no problems. I hope this can help you

I have the phenom x4 blah blah and mine all run at around 49C, it is perfectly fine you only need to worry as you approach 70C... The phenom are both good at overheating and quick to break from heat so you do have to be careful, but you will be fine with your operating heats... You might want to try running a high cpu demanding application to test how hot your processor gets after being worked hard... Once again only worry as you approach 70C
