Toronto police have charged a man with second degree murder six months after the killing of a 56-year-old man.
Jason Windebank, 31, was arrested Tuesday in connection with the death of Giuliano Montoni, whose body was found in a burning building at 102 Lappin Avenue near Dufferin Street on May 8.
But a police autopsy found he did not die in the fire, rather he was killed by "blunt impact injuries to the body."
Windebank was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
