Mexico military copter crashes; 11 dead
SAN MIGUEL DEL ALTO, Mexico, (UPI) -- Mexico's Ministry of National Defense said Saturday 11 military personnel were killed when their helicopter crashed in bad weather.
The ministry said the aircraft's chief, four officers and six troops were on an anti-drug trafficking mission aboard the Bell 412 helicopter when it went down about 10:40 p.m. Friday near the town of San Miguel del Alto in Durango state.
The ministry said preliminary data indicated the crash was due to adverse weather conditions.
