missing stations

I'm new to the fta stuff. I have a pansat 2700a running on a dish network 300 dish. I'm thinking that I'm missing many stations like USA, SciFi, cartoon stations, etc. because I have an older satellite dish. is this right???? if not, could somebody make some recommendations please. oh yeah, running 244 bin file. just downloaded 245 but haven't applied it yet. and did the satellite scans from all the echo star satellites...7, 10, 8, etc.
main station I'm missing that I desperately want is fox sports net from Pittsburgh so I can watch hockey. I'm getting 4 other fox sports net stations, but not from Pittsburgh.

Just curious, did the 245 BIN fix your issues?

245 bin didn't fix my missing stations problem. it fixed the dish network being down problem. I got back a lot of stations like some HBO & Showtime stuff. also got back PPV. but 245 bin didn't fix missing stations like USA, travel channel, cartoon networks type stations.
still hoping somebody knows the answer, because when I first got the receiver about 2 weeks ago, I had just a few more stations that I do now. this is before I had an idea of what I was doing, and think I applied an update that got rid of 2 stations I wanted. but still have more tv than I did before I bought the fta receiver.

I have all those stations, and am using the 245 BIN. Try reloading the default key. That will force the unit to rescan for the keys and load them in.

Try powercycling for the power switch at the rear of the unit.

If that fails, you can do a blind scan.

All else fails, you may have to reset the unit to factory defaults and start from scratch.

Let us know if any of these fix your issue.

Not that this will help you, but I have found that on a coule of occassions I have had to do a channel scan 2 or 3 times to ensure it captures most of them. I never know what I'm missing until I specifically go lok for it. For inistance, The Golf Channel never came up on B3V but it did on D!SH. After 2 more channel scans it finally did come in with B3V. Not sure why this ocurrs...by the way, it's a Pansat 9000HD.
