MLB: Cincinnati 12, Milwaukee 4

MILWAUKEE, Scott Rolen, Brandon Phillips and Joey Votto each collected four hits Tuesday and the Cincinnati Reds coasted to a 12-4 win over Milwaukee.

Rolen drove in three runs, Phillips added two RBI and Votto scored three times and drove in a run for the Reds, who pulled into a first-place tie with St. Louis in the National League Central.

Edinson Volquez lasted only 3 2/3 innings in his third start of the season after returning from arm surgery, surrendering four runs on six hits. The victory instead went to Logan Ondrusek (2-0), who pitched 2 1/3 frames of scoreless relief.

Brewers starter Yovani Gallardo (9-5) was pounded for six runs -- five earned -- on 10 hits in just 2 2/3 innings.

Gallardo socked a solo homer in the second inning and Rickie Weeks added his 22nd round-tripper of the season for Milwaukee.
