MILWAUKEE, (UPI) -- Chris Narveson turned in the longest outing of his career Friday and was supported by four home runs in bringing the Milwaukee Brewers a 6-2 win over Texas.
Narveson (5-3), in his third major-league season spread over five years, went seven innings while giving up two runs on six hits. The Brewers won for the seventh time in 10 home games.
Ryan Braun hit a two-run homer in the first for Milwaukee, Casey McGehee put the Brewers in front for good with a solo shot in the fifth, and both Corey Hart and Prince Fielder produced homers in the fifth. Hart's home run came with a man aboard.
The four home runs equaled a season's best for the Brewers.
Rich Harden (3-3) surrendered six runs on seven hits in six innings to take the loss, the first for the Rangers in four games. Texas had scored a combined 31 runs in its previous three outings.
