NEW YORK, (UPI) -- Kyle Kendrick limited New York to four hits over seven innings Thursday and Shane Victorino hit a two-run homer, boosting Philadelphia over the Yankees 7-1.
Philadelphia broke the game open with a four-run ninth and defeated New York for the second straight night in a rematch of last year's World Series.
Kendrick (4-2) walked two and struck out three. He has given up one earned run or less in three of his last four starts.
Victorino's homer gave Philadelphia a three-run lead in the fifth. He also scored Philadelphia's first run on a single by Ryan Howard in the fourth and tallied again during the ninth-inning outburst on a sacrifice fly by Howard.
Andy Pettitte (8-2) gave up three runs on six hits in seven innings to take the loss. He struck out seven.
