ANAHEIM, Calif., May 29 (UPI) -- Cliff Lee recorded 10 strikeouts Friday and Seattle overcame an early deficit to defeat the Los Angeles Angels 8-3.

Los Angeles scored two runs in the first, one of them unearned, but Lee was dominant from that point on while getting offensive help from Milton Bradley and Franklin Gutierrez.

The Mariners took the lead in the third when Gutierrez singled in a run and Bradley singled in two more.

Bradley added a sacrifice fly in the fifth and Gutierrez contributed an RBI base hit during a two-run ninth. Jose Lopez also had a solo homer for the Mariners in the fourth.

Lee (3-2) went eight innings, giving up four hits and walking two. The loss went to Scott Kazmir (3-5), who was roughed up for five runs on eight hits in 5 1/3.

Lee bounced back from a struggling start against San Diego on Friday, during which he allowed eight runs in 6 1/3.

Seattle won its third straight and the Angels lost for the first time in three games.
