NBA: Dallas 102, Denver 101

DENVER, -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 13 points in the fourth quarter Wednesday and the Dallas Mavericks survived a last-second miss to defeat Denver 102-101.
Nowitzki had 35 points overall, making 15-of-31 shots from the field in helping the Mavericks win for the third time in four games.
After Carmelo Anthony made a slam dunk with 29 seconds remaining to bring the Nuggets within one, Dallas let the 24-second clock run out before Nowitzki could get off his jump shot.
Anthony attempted what would have been a game-winning shot with 2 seconds remaining and Chauncey Billups failed to convert a tip-in try.
Jason Terry scored 20, hitting 4-of-5 from 3-point range, and Caron Butler put Dallas in front for good with a 3-pointer in the final minute. Butler finished with 16 points.
Anthony led the Nuggets with 20 points and 15 rebounds.
