AUBURN HILLS, Mich., -- Will Bynum scored four of his 21 points in overtime Sunday, sparking the Detroit Pistons to a 111-108 victory over New Orleans.
Bynum registered the decisive points on a layup with 7 seconds to go in overtime, giving Detroit a 109-108 lead.
Jason Maxwell then made a steal off a bad pass by Trevor Ariza and followed with a slam dunk with less than a second remaining, icing just the second win in seven games for Detroit.
Bynum recorded nine assists, and Tayshaun Prince poured in 28 points, with 12 rebounds, eight assists and three blocked shots in an impressive display for the Pistons.
David West led all scorers with 32 points while also collecting nine rebounds for the Hornets. Chris Paul contributed 23 points with 10 assists in the loss.
