New alcohol charges against girls' coach
WATERTOWN, (UPI) -- A girls' basketball coach charged with getting alcohol for team members faces new charges stemming from a Watertown, Conn., school dance, police say.
Pomperaug High School girls' basketball coach and mathematics teacher Jennifer Jackson, who was charged earlier for allegedly obtaining alcohol for two of her team members, faces additional charges for allegedly supplying alcoholic drinks to students at a Watertown school dance, the Danbury News Times reported.
The new charges against Jackson, 32, are second-degree reckless endangerment and delivery of alcohol to a minor, the newspaper said Thursday.
Police allege Jackson supplied two bottles of vodka to two team members allowing them to drink out of a coffee cup.
Jackson has been on a paid leave of absence since March when the investigation began.
