European satellite operator Eutelsat said fiscal first quarter revenues were 226.7 million Euros, up 7 percent from 211.9 million Euros reported for the same period last year. The company said it saw a 16.4 percent increase in TV channels broadcast by Eutelsat's video neighborhoods and that its platforms are broadcasting 63 high-def channels throughout its coverage regions --- GlobeCast said it was selected by MTV Networks International for the launch of the programmer's first international high-def service dedicated to music and kids. The channel, MTVNHD, carries programming from the programmer's multi-branded library --- STAR, the Asian satellite-based programmer controlled by News Corp., appointed Ben Money as vice president, international advertising sales research.
