Plane gets tangled in tree
PLYMOUTH, Mass., (UPI) -- A pilot and two passengers survived with only minor injuries Saturday when their small plane got tangled in a tree near Plymouth, Mass., a federal agency said.
Arlene Salac, a spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration, said the plane came down in a back yard on its approach to Plymouth Municipal Airport, SatelliteNewsService.com reported. Those on board were doing an aerial survey, she added.
Emergency workers got the three people out of the downed plane about 5:15 p.m.
The Boston Globe reported the plane was a double-engine Cessna registered to Christopher Cox of Hampton, Ga. He told the newspaper he recently sold the plane to Oasis Flight Services and said it has cameras and other equipment needed for aerial photography, surveys and mapping.
