MONROE, Mich. – Michigan investigators looking for a 5-year-old girl missing for more than a week want to talk to the owner or driver of a minivan that was parked at a school playground near the spot where she was last seen.
Nevaeh (nuh-VAY'-uh) Buchanan last was seen May 24 in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the town of Monroe, about 35 miles south-southwest of Detroit.
Monroe County Sheriff Tilman Crutchfield said Monday that police are processing 800 tips in the case.
He said authorities had spoken with two young boys who were believed to have been at the playground that day. The boys and the person with the minivan all were being sought as potential witnesses
