Police: Ex-roomie broke in, took nap
DYERSBURG, Tenn., (UPI) -- Police in Tennessee said a former resident of a house in Dyersburg allegedly broke back in and fell asleep on a sofa.
Dyer County sheriff's deputies said the residents of the house returned home Thursday and found Craig Allen Thurmond, 22, sleeping on the couch with a window broken and a door kicked in, the Dyersburg State Gazette reported Monday.
Chief Investigator Terry McCreight said Thurmond, who was arrested by arriving deputies without incident, was a former occupant of the house who was asked to move out about three weeks prior to the incident.
Thurmond was taken to the Dyer County Jail on charges of felony vandalism and felony aggravated burglary.
