Ready Pac recalls certain spinach salads
IRVINE, Calif., (UPI) -- Ready Pac Foods of Irvine, Calif., said it is recalling the Baby Spinach variety of Spinach Temptations bagged salads because of possible E. coli contamination.

The recall is for the 6-ounce bagged products with the use-by date of July 4 with Product Code 11707B, IR127121 or the use-by July 8 with Product Code 12007B, IR130373 sold in California, Washington and Arizona, the company said in a release Wednesday.

No other Ready Pac Foods products are included in the recall, the company said. The recall is for both retailers and consumers.

No illnesses related to these products have been reported.

The company said it was working with the Food and Drug Administration and the recall resulted from a confirmed positive result for E. coli in a random sample test the federal agency conducted.

Consumers who may have purchased the recalled product are asked to record the Use-by Date and Product Code, dispose of the product, and contact the Ready Pac Consumer Affairs office,
