-- Iranian authorities briefly detained the son of opposition leader Mehdi Karoubi, the leader's website reported.
The website, Saham News, said Hossein Karoubi was detained Saturday morning and released several hours later.
He was taken into custody for releasing information about the Kahrizak detention center where Iranian officials acknowledged anti-government protesters were abused and killed after the disputed 2009 presidential elections, the report said.
The report doesn't say what information Karoubi released and to whom.
The opposition figure was released after "he provided security officials an explanation about the problem," the report said.
Government forces quashed massive protests that erupted after the June 2009 election victory by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a vote regarded as fraudulent by many.
