Rush rain-out draws class-action lawsuit
CHICAGO, (UPI) -- The vintage rock band Rush is named in a class-action lawsuit filed by a fan who had tickets to a show in Chicago that was rained out.
Christopher Langone contends he traveled from New York to Chicago to see Rush perform July 7 in what was billed as a "rain or shine" show at the outdoor Charter One Pavilion but was cheated out of the concert when it was canceled due to rain, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The breach-of-contract suit said the concert was billed as taking place regardless of the weather. It also claimed it didn't even rain that hard that night, noting that the Chicago White Sox completed their home game.
The Tribune said the suit filed Friday in Cook County Circuit Court named the three members of Rush along with the promoters.
