Russian-Ukrainian trade in quick recovery
MOSCOW, (UPI) -- Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said trade with Ukraine was near to getting back to where it was before the global recession struck.
"Last year our trade collapsed from $40 billion to $22 billion, but in the first four months of this year it doubled," Putin told Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, RIA Novosti reported Monday
Azarov attributed the recovery in trade on normalization of the political relationship between the two countries, the news service said.
