S. Korean actor Park Yong-Ha found hanged
SEOUL, (UPI) -- South Korean singer and actor Park Yong-ha has been found hanged with an electrical cord at his home, police said. He was 33.
Investigators told the BBC they believe Park committed suicide Tuesday night and they are not treating his death as suspicious.
The former star of TV's "Winter Sonata" had been under great strain trying to manage his career while also nursing his terminally ill, cancer-stricken father, the British broadcaster reported.
"I must be sick instead of you, father. I'm sorry, I'm sorry," a police statement quoted Park as saying before his death.
Park had been scheduled to start work on the new drama series "Comrades, Almost a Love Story" next month, the BBC said.
