A group of runners sprinted through Yorkville Saturday in red Speedos and Santa hats to raise money for the Hospital for Sick Children.


In nothing but Speedos, Santa hats and sneakers a group of runners ambled along Toronto's streets Saturday.

Around 1:30 p.m. a small group of runners set off on the annual Santa Speedo Run, a jog of about three kilometres, this year in 3 C weather. The run through the city's Yorkville neighbourhood raises money for charity

The event began in 2005, and organizers said it has raised over $140,000 for the Hospital for Sick Children.
