Spike TV to honor Sylvester Stallone
NEW YORK, (UPI) -- Spike TV says it plans to honor action hero Sylvester Stallone at its upcoming Guys Choice Awards ceremony in Culver City, Calif.
"Sylvester Stallone is a true legendary film icon for our audience of guys. He's given us characters like Rocky, Rambo and so many more; he has created some of the most heroic and beloved cinematic characters of all time and we're thrilled to be honoring him on Guys Choice," Casey Patterson, senior vice president of event production, talent development and studio relations at Spike TV, said in a statement Thursday.
Expected to attend the event and/or serve as presenters are Jeremy Renner, Ozzy Osbourne, Chris Rock and the cast of the film "A-Team" -- Bradley Cooper, Liam Neeson, Sharlto Copley, Jessica Biel and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson.
The ceremony is to be taped June 5 at the Sony Pictures Studios and is to premiere on Spike TV June 20.
Olympic gold medalist Shaun White is also to be recognized for his accomplishments in the world of competitive snowboarding during the show, the network said.
