Michael Vick is set to return as starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles after their 37-19 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
The Eagles (4-3) do not return to the field until November 7 against the Indianapolis Colts and coach Andy Reid has said Vick will see his first action since sustaining a rib injury while scrambling during a game earlier this month.
"The important thing is to continue to heal and get healthy, and make sure that I'm ready to play in two weeks," Vick told the team's website (philadelphiaeagles.com).
"(I'll play) the same style but with a bit of smarts and not taking unnecessary hits. I won't play reckless."
Kevin Kolb, who began the year as the starter before suffering a concussion in the opening game, has started the past three games in Vick's absence.
He played well in two victories before throwing two interceptions and losing a fumble in the defeat to the Titans on Sunday.
The dynamic Vick is the NFC's top-rated passer having thrown for six touchdowns without an interception.
